GarageBuddy Expandable Storage System

Introduction

GarageBuddy is an under-shelf or ceiling-mounted expandable storage system that allows you to store all your awkward stuff out of your way. It can be expanded infinitely vertically or horizontally to store as little – or as much – stuff as you can dream of!

Assembly

GarageBuddy takes as little as 2 minutes to assemble, with simple and strong dove-tail joints for add-on features. You can add more modules for hooks, hoops, rings, and hangers later if you want to store more stuff.

Expansion & Optional Add-ons

GarageBuddy can be expanded with optional add-ons, as well as easy-to-acquire hardware from your local hardware store. It features a large central hole compatible with 1.5 inch PVC pipe allowing underhung storage of awkward long objects like ski or fishing poles. It also features 2 additional holes to route 0.5 inch EMS conduit, allowing you an easy way to hang clothes, or create underhung shelves.

Features & Expandability

Screw holes on the sides and bottom allow for horizontal and vertical expandability. Two dovetails allow for hanging webbing to suspend boats or other objects with the optional GarageBuddy ScrewCap. You can even mount multiple GarageBuddy hangers to each other vertically to create a “tree” of suspended storage for multiple pairs of skis, boards, and more.

GarageBuddy is 3d-printed from strong and rigid PLA plastic and uses large M6 bolts for additional strength. It has been tested with 50+ lbs of suspended weight without issue. Sizes

Each GarageBuddy Hanger comes in 2 sizes: wide and narrow. Wide is 8.2in / 210mm wide at the top and is best if you plan to extend it side to side. Narrow is 5.5in / 140mm wide at the top and is best if you are just using the hangers by themselves. The hangers work with most underhung shelving grid spacing.

Expanded GarageBuddy Options

You can expand the GarageBuddy Hanger with:

• GarageBuddy Extender – 12 inch horizontal extension for a hanger, allowing chaining of multiple hangers together to create suspended shelving, or to store more skis, boards, or larger objects. Includes 2 0.5 inch EMS pipe holes for creation of underhung shelving.
• GarageBuddy Grid – a front-mountable grid of screw holes allowing installation of numerous sizes of hooks for hanging bikes, bags, clothes, and more
• GarageBuddy Hooks – hooks for hanging bikes, bags, and clothes
• GarageBuddy Hoop – a 6 inch diameter to allow storage of 6+ pairs of ski poles or 4+ fishing poles. Compatible with standard 6 inch PVC pipe as an optional add-on.
